Firmware enables 3GPP 5G New Radio signals tests

A firmware option for 5G New Radio (NR) downlink signal analysis has been announced by Rohde & Schwarz. The firmware option for the R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyser enables verification of signals for base stations, as well as component testing of 5G power amplifiers.

Probes offer measurement bandwidth of up to 200MHz

High voltage differential probes from Rohde & Schwarz are designed for complex measurements on state-of-the-art power electronics with voltages up to 6000V. The R&S RT-ZHD probes offer a measurement bandwidth of up to 200MHz, a high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and DC measurement accuracy of 0.5%.

Power rail probe bandwidth increased to 4GHz

Software option meets PDW streaming applications

To cope with today’s demanding radar signal simulations, ultralong playtimes are needed in order to simulate realistic radar environments. Pulse sequences are calculated pulse by pulse and streamed as PDWs to an RF signal source. This avoids long calculation times and saves memory space in the signal generator.

Order intake soars at Rohde & Schwarz

Rohde & Schwarz closed its fiscal year with a stable net revenue and a record-breaking order intake. The company’s wireless communications and security expertise have enabled it to crack important future markets. DOCSIS signal analyser heads off headend problems

To maximise and maintain a high data throughput when surfing and consuming multimedia content, the DOCSIS 3.1 data over cable system interface specification was developed as a successor to DOCSIS 3.0. The new standard uses channels with a bandwidth of up to 192MHz and OFDM coding, which provides a high data throughput in the direction of the cable modem.

Calibration units overcome TVAC chamber test problem
