Breakthrough in red-emitting InGaN Pyramidal MicroLEDs
With Polar Light Technologies novel concept, based on a non-etching bottom-up approach, red light at 625nm has been achieved. By this breakthrough, Polar Light Technologies have reached red, green, and blue pyramidal microLEDs employing the same material system.
Würth Elektronik presents its dual-wire ICLEDs
Würth Elektronik expands its range of WL-ICLEDs – RGB-LEDs with integrated controller (IC) – to include dual-wire ICLEDs. The components are addressable as pixels and consist of a red, green, and blue LED, as well as a pre-programmed IC in one package.
Inova Semiconductor to showcase LED solutions at CES 2025
At CES 2025 Inova Semiconductors will be demonstrating its path towards software-defined lighting (SDL) and, in the next step, software-defined vehicles (SDV).
65V, 2A automotive-compliant synchronous buck LED driver
Diodes Incorporated has announced the expansion of its automotive-compliant LED driver portfolio by introducing the AL8891Q.
36-channel automotive LED driver with diagnostics
Diodes Incorporated introduces a new 36-channel automotive-compliant* linear LED current driver. The AL5887Q, with its ability to drive RGB configurations as well as individual LEDs, addresses the need for OEMs to differentiate their brands by enabling designers to create different animated lighting patterns and colour depths for interior and exterior lamps.
Würth Elektronik expands its signal LED product range
Würth Elektronik expands its LED product series WL-SMCW and WL-SMCC with white LEDs in 0603 and 0402 packages. These compact and highly efficient LEDs now allow white signals, front or backlighting to be achieved – without the need for a combination of red, green, and blue – which come very close to the white point in the colour coordinate system.
Melexis and Geely automotive lighting design collab
Melexis has announced that Geely Automotive Group has chosen to use Melexis devices and MeLiBu technology for the advanced daytime running lights (DRLs), as well as the RGB LED taillight with full-colour lighting in the new Z10 model, the first EV by Lynk & Co.
