Metal enclosures division METCASE, from OKW, has extended its bestselling COMBIMET range of aluminium 19” rack mount enclosures with the latest Version T open models. Version T is for networking, communications, laboratory and studio systems that require greater ventilation and ease of access to the electronics. The units are also more cost effective than fully enclosed models.

Portable instrument enclosures are now available in a slim version for tablet style electronics. The CARRYTEC M enclosure is aimed at slimmer products or instruments which still require protection. Two iPAD Air front panels have been added to OKW's INTERFACE-TERMINAL multifunction electronic enclosures range, enabling the tablets to be securely mounted to walls or desks. The robust handheld enclosures provide a tamperproof, IP40 rated housing to prevent damage or theft to the iPADs in communal locations such as museums, offices, factories, public buildings, laboratories and healthcare facilities.

OKW’s metal enclosures division, METCASE has launched an unsealed version of its UNIDESK sloping front terminal enclosures, in response to customer demand. UNIDESK aluminium instrument enclosures are designed for desktop use, but can also be wall-mounted. METCASE, OKW’s metal enclosures division, has expanded its range of accessories for custom 19” front panels, rack cases and chassis with additional extruded handles. These handles speed up servicing by making it easier to fit the front panels or chassis into cabinets, or to remove them during installation and maintenance.

A bus system designed to speed up the installation of DIN rail boxes, has been introduced by OKW. The RAILTEC-BUS system is comprised of a bus support rail and a rail cover moulded in polymide, as well as a bus PCB with five copper conductors. There is also a PCB/bus connection block, again moulded in polymide, with PCB pins and five gold-plated connection springs, and left and right hand end caps.

Suited for mobile data recording and transfer, measuring and control, stock and sales logging and digital control technology, OKW has unveiled a range of IP65 handheld enclosures for outdoor electronics. The DATEC-COMPACT range is the company's first to offer integrated contacts as an option for charging and data transfer.

OKW has added low profile models to its tried and tested range of RAILTEC B DIN rail enclosures. RAILTEC B enclosures are extremely versatile. Applications include machine-building, control equipment and the automotive industry. The low profile models can house single PCBs in the base or top section. Their low profile also makes it much easier to fit controls, displays and connectors.
