Handheld enclosures mount larger membrane keypads & displays
Enabling design engineers to mount larger membrane keypads and displays, ROLEC has expanded its handCASE handheld enclosures range with Type R models. Designed for demanding industrial applications such as handheld machine controllers, robotics and heavy duty test & measurement instruments, the diecast aluminium enclosures are IP66 rated.
The ergonomic design of handCASE, makes it comfortable to hold for easy operation of keypads, joysticks or large switches. The Type R models are available in three sizes: 180x80x42, 220x100x42 and 220x100x62mm.
Cable glands can be mounted in the flat surfaces and the enclosures are painted in light grey (RAL 7035) as standard, with custom colours available.
This enclosure offers an alternative to the existing Type S handCASE, which features a slightly narrower top section and is shaped to mount a display in the uppermost area of the recessed lid.
Options include IP67 protection, black ABS battery cradles for four AA or two 9V cells and an optional gasket (-55 to +160°C) for EMC protection. Available now, the handCASE Type R enclosures are priced from £70.
ROLEC also offers customising services including: CNC milling and drilling; silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos; assembly of cable glands and other components.
