Pre-certified Class B self-test library for EFM32 Cortex-M3-controlled white goods ensures safe and reliable operation

Energy Micro and Hitex Devepment Tools have announced the availability of a self-test library for the ARM Cortex-M3 based EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family. The free of charge library was developed, tested and pre-certified according to the IEC 60335 and IEC 60730 standards.

Energy Micro has announced advance details of its forthcoming energy friendly radio (EFR) product family. Complementing the company’s EFM32 Gecko microcontrollers, EFR4D Draco high performance radio solutions will consume only 25% of the energy of competing products. Based on an ARM Cortex-M0 core, Draco system-on-chip (SoC) radios will achieve receive and transmit current consumption as low as 5mA and 6mA respectively.
