DFI has introduced its latest ARM-based products, a 7” Touch Panel PC, KS210-IMX6, and a 10.1” Touch Panel PC, KS310-IMX6. The two fanless Touch Panel PCs utilise Freescale i.MX 6 Cortex-A9 core processors with speeds of up to 1.0GHz. Based on the open-source Android OS, system integrators and software developers will find it easy to develop application programmes.

DFI has announced the arrival of HD171-H81 and HD173-H81, two industrial-grade Mini-ITX motherboards powered by the 4th gen Intel Core with Intel H81 chipset. The Intel HD Graphics engine integrated into these 4th gen Intel Core processors provides a seamless visual experience, including superior gaming image quality, vibrant HD video playback, and increased overall speed and performance.

DFI has launched KS310-IMX6, a Freescale i.MX6 processor-based fanless Panel PC using a 10.1” (1280x800) industrial grade LCD panel with projected capacitive touch solution and ARM architecture four/two Cortex-A9 processor at only 1.0GHz. To withstand harsh operating environments, KS310-IMX6 is made with a robust mechanical design and can operate from -20 to +60°C.

  Designed for systems which operate for 24 hours a day, the BT9A3 and BT968 COM Express modules have been introduced by DFI. The modules, which feature rich I/O interfaces, are based on the Intel Atom E3800 processor. 

  A series of compact embedded systems, which are based on the 4th gen Intel Core and server-grade Intel Xeon processors, has been released by DFI. Offered in both fanned and fanless designs, the EC500 systems support a voltage range of 9-36V.

A Type 6 COM Express Basic module, which is powered by the BGA 1364 packaging technology supporting the 4th gen Intel Core processor family, has been introduced by DFI. Equipped with an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 engine, the HM960-QM87 provides smooth flash playback and rich 2D/3D graphics with high quality playback. 

A 4” SBC, which features low-power consumption at only 5-10W thermal design power, has been introduced by DFI. The BT253, which expands the company’s Intel Atom E3800 SoC product portfolio, features BGA 1170 packaging technology. LVDS, HDMI, VGA (standard) and DVI-I (optional) interfaces, with dual-independent display capability, enhance onboard graphics capabilities.

Featuring smart performance, immersive visuals, and low-power consumption at only 15W TDP, HU171 and HU173 are DFI's latest additions to its 4th gen Intel Core U-Series of Mini-ITX Industrial Motherboards. The enhanced Intel HD graphics GT series integrated in the processor supports the latest graphics APIs and projects a 24% performance increase over its previous generation.

The company's first Compact module powered by AMD Embedded G-series SoC, DFI has announced a Type 6 COM Express Compact module. The SE967 is suited for intelligent systems that display videos, graphics and interactive content such as gaming machines, medical equipment, security & surveillance, smart grid, ATM and POS.

EC200-BT is DFI’s first Intel Atom E3800 SoC processor-based fanless embedded system, designed to provide outstanding computing capability as well as low-power consumption. The black chassis is made of iron and is combined with a metallic grey aluminium alloy which has an anodic surface coating, providing a stylish and elegant aesthetic impact.

Offered in five Intel Atom processor-based versions for high scalability with only 7-10W TDP, the BT701 Qseven module has been released by DFI. The module, which is part of the company’s Intel Atom E3800 series product line, operates across a -40 to +85°C temperature range, making it suitable for harsh environments.

DFI is offering a Qseven module, the BT700, based on Intel’s Atom E3800 microprocessor aimed at smart metering applications and designed specifically to meet the performance/wattage requirements of intelligent systems. Using the low-watt processor is a cost-effective way of reducing power usage. Data collected from the meter is sent to the communication system via LAN or UART.

The most advanced 3.5” SBC in its 4th generation Intel Core product line, DFI's U-series HU551 with BGA 1168 packaging technology features smart performance, immersive visuals and 15W TDP. Integrated in the processor, the enhanced Intel HD graphics GT series offers a 24% performance increase over its previous generation.

Designed for POS (Point of Sale) systems, the HM101-QM87 Mini-ITX motherboard has been launched by DFI. As a POS includes two monitors, one for the retailer and another for the customer, it requires a computer system that supports flexible I/O ports and responsive computing ability. Expanding its cost-effective Intel H81 product line, DFI announces the HD332-H81 microATX industrial motherboard. Powered by the 4th gen Intel Core processor family (which provides a 5-15% CPU performance increase over previous gens), the board is suited for applications such as gaming machines, industrial control automation, medical equipment, telecomms, POS, kiosks and transportation.

Powered by the latest Intel ULT platform, two Mini-ITX industrial motherboards featuring high speed I/O and low-power consumption of just 15W have been introduced by DFI. The HU101 and HU103 integrate enhanced Intel HD graphics which, according to DFI, provide a 24% performance increase over its previous generation.

Expanding the company's heavy industrial touch panel PC product line, DFI has announced the TPC190-SB. This 19" panel PC is powered by 3rd/2nd-gen Intel Core processors and is suited for embedded applications such as HMI systems, kiosks, medical equipment and ATMs. The PC supports a 5-wire resistive, 1280x1024 TFT LCD touch screen panel that has a brightness of 350nits.

To meet the demand for high-quality and reliable surveillance, DFI have introduced the HD631-Q87 board. Powered by the 4th generation Intel Core processor, the board provides rich 2D/3D graphics. By integrating Intel HD Graphics, the ATX embedded board supports high-resolution DVI-I and HDMI displays. 

Although Window XP security fixes from Microsoft have ended, DFI has introduced a solution to extend support and services for Microsoft XP-based embedded systems. As announced previously, after 8th April 2014 there will be no more security updates or technical support for Windows XP operating systems. Three Mini-ITX embedded motherboards which offer improvements in processing performance, system memory and I/O interfaces, has been released by DFI. The HM100-HM86, HM101-HM86 and HM103-HM86, powered by the 4th generation Intel Core processor family, are designed with two 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM sockets supporting up to 16GB.
