Three Mini-ITX embedded motherboards which offer improvements in processing performance, system memory and I/O interfaces, has been released by DFI. The HM100-HM86, HM101-HM86 and HM103-HM86, powered by the 4th generation Intel Core processor family, are designed with two 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM sockets supporting up to 16GB.

Although small in size, the motherboards still provide rich I/O connectivity and wide bandwidth data transmission. Interfaces include 2 Gigabit LAN, 2 COM, 8 USB, 2 SATA, 1 LPC connector for additional COM/Parallel ports and 4-bit input and 4-bit output GPIO for device controls. The Mini-iTX boards also have an expansion design offering the following additional capabilities: 1 PCIe x16 for superior graphics cards,1 Mini PCIe slot that supports USB and PCIe signals, mSATA and a half size Mini PCIe card. As well as this, the motherboard's onboard graphics features 4 display ports: HDMI, DVI-I, LVDS and DP, thus meeting today's need for multi-displays.

The three Mini-ITX boards feature different power connectors: HM100-HM86 with 1 24-pin ATX, HM101-HM86 with 1 12V DC-in (default) or 1 4-pin power (optional), and HM103-HM86 with 19~24V DC-in. Suitable applications for the motherboards include gaming machines, medical equipment, industrial control automation, security and surveillance, smart grids, ATMs, and POS.
