SiTime’s Titan resonators have been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Semiconductor category.

SiTime’s Titan Platform resonators represent a significant advancement in Precision Timing for modern semiconductor designs. Built on FujiMEMS, SiTime’s sixth-generation proprietary MEMS-based innovation, Titan comprises resonators engineered to support increasing demands for miniaturisation, power efficiency and reliability.

Housed in an ultra-compact 0.46 x 0.46mm (0505 CSP) package, Titan consumes 4x less PCB area than traditional 1008 packages and 7x less PCB area than traditional 1210 packages, enabling semiconductor manufacturers and OEMs to reclaim valuable PCB space for added functionality, increased battery capacity or further system miniaturisation. Available frequencies of 32, 38.4, 40, 48 and 76.8MHz support a significant portion of today’s short-range wireless SoCs and low-power 32-bit MCUs.

Titan also delivers substantial power and performance benefits. The resonators enable up to 50% lower oscillator circuit power, 3x faster startup and 3x lower startup energy, making them ideally suited to battery-powered and resource-constrained systems. They provide 5x better aging stability, specified over five years at maximum operating temperature, while maintaining tight frequency stability across an operating range from -40 to +125°C. Titan delivers up to 50x greater shock and vibration resilience, supporting reliable operation in demanding industrial, wearable and mobile applications.

A defining advantage of the Titan Platform is its dual-implementation model. Devices can be supplied in CSP format for straightforward PCB assembly or provided as bare die for direct integration inside SoCs and MCUs. Compatibility with existing oscillator circuitry enables rapid adoption while reducing development time and engineering risk.

Applications include smart watches, fitness rings, hearing aids, stereo earbuds, continuous glucose monitors, asset trackers, smart home devices, industrial sensors, and Edge AI nodes.
