Flexible controller supports Qualcomm Quick Charge

Lattice Semiconductor has announced that the company’s flexible charging controllers, the LIF-UC family, supports the Qualcomm Quick Charge standard. Faster charging is becoming increasingly important as more powerful devices are released to the market. To support this, Qualcomm Technologies’ PMICs have optimised charging architectures within mobile devices by taking advantage of the Quick Charge technologies.

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation and Mikroprojekt have announced availability of a ECP5-based development platform to accelerate system design of communications and industrial applications at the network edge, including HetNet small cells, industrial IoT gateways and IP cameras. Mikroprojekt’s Kondor AX development platform features Lattice’s ECP5 device, a low power, small form factor FPGA with flexible interface connectivity.

Lattice's FPGA enables industrial USB 3.0 camera

Lattice Semiconductor announced that its MachXO3 FPGA and USB 3.0 sensor bridge reference design are integrated in a USB 3.0 camera module from Leopard Imaging. The MachXO3 FPGA and the USB 3.0 sensor bridge reference design work together to convert the subLVDS video signal from the image sensor used in the module to a parallel format that can interface with the camera’s USB 3.0 controller.

USB Type-C port controllers enable quick development

Expanding its USB Type-C product family, Lattice Semiconductor has introduced three port controllers which deliver space, cost and power efficient designs that provide flexibility. The SiI7012, SiI7013 and SiI7014 are used to configure the USB Type-C Upstream Facing Port (UFP) or Downstream Facing Port (DFP), detect cable orientation and negotiate Power Delivery (PD) on the USB Type-C connection.

SuperMHL transmitter & receiver deliver 4K 60fps video

The world’s first superMHL products for USB Type-C to deliver 4K 60fps RGB/4:4:4 video with concurrent USB 3.1 Gen 1 or Gen 2 data have been introduced by Lattice Semiconductor. The SiI8630 and SiI9396 are a low-power superMHL transmitter and receiver pair that can deliver and receive 4K 60fps over a single lane, enabling a PC experience with USB Type-C devices.
