Mini-ITX motherboard delivers cost-effective graphics & media performance

Axiomtek has launched an industrial Mini-ITX motherboard, the MANO842, featuring quad-core SoC, fanless design, advanced graphics performance and 12VDC/STD ATX power input. The powerful MANO842 is equipped with a quad-core Intel Celeron J1900 processor with Intel HD Graphics engine, delivering outstanding computing, graphics and media performance at a competitive price.

The cost-effective industrial-grade motherboard utilises high bandwidth DDR3L-1333 SO-DIMM with system memory up to 8GB and a rich set of I/O features. With 12V single voltage DC power or STD ATX jack, the ultra-compact Mini-ITX mainboard can be widely applied to automation and embedded industries, including medical healthcare, in-vehicle infotainment, kiosk, digital entertainment, digital signage and POS. 

“Measuring 170mm2, the MANO842 features rich I/O and great expansion capability, specially tailored for space-concerned applications and unique thermal solutions. With one PCIe x1 slot, one PCI Express Mini Card interface, and one mSATA socket, the versatile Mini-ITX motherboard can fulfill great expansion needs. Various display interfaces support dual-view via VGA, HDMI and 18/24-bit dual-channel LVDS to meet the growing demand of high quality output,” said Ken Lin, Product Manager, Product Planning Division, Axiomtek.

The board is suitable for handling the most demanding HD video formats for immersive multi-display applications and environments. The Intel quad-core Bay Trail embedded board offers superior connectivity, including six USB ports, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485), one PS/2, one digital I/O (8-IN & 8-OUT) and two Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting WoL (Wake-on-LAN) & PXE. 

The MANO842 comes with one SATA-300 interface, one mSATA interface, five USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, one PS/2 KB & MS, two Gigabit LAN ports, LVDS, VGA, HD audio and 8-In/8-Out digital I/O. To ensure reliability and stability, the built-in watchdog timer precisely controls the embedded board, recovering and resuming playback from power, network, or other disruptions to successfully avoid permanent crash. 

Axiomtek’s cost-effective quad-core SoC Intel Celeron-based MANO842 will be available in September, 2015.
