With the eDM-mITX-CB-Q7-Info, DATA MODUL has introduced a Mini-ITX Baseboard that is ideally suited for use in Digital Signage applications. This innovative design uses the Qseven Standard in order to build systems with ARM based CPU Modules or x86 based CPU Modules.

This Baseboard is optimised and certified for these modules: ARM Qseven: eDM-QMX6 (i.MX6 Quad Core), eDM-DMX6 (i.MX6 Dual Core); eDM-DLMX6 (i.MX6 Dual Core lite); X86 Qseven: conga-QA3 Intel Atom E3845 Quad Core; conga-QA3 Intel Atom E382x Dual Core, conga-QA3 Intel Atom E3815 Single Core. With this configuration it is possible to develop slim and fanless systems with enough performance to drive large size TFTs. The power sequencing, which is needed to drive such large Panels is provided by an onboard microcontroller and adapted for each Panel. The according display cables are normally available from stock at DATA MODUL.

The eDM-mITX-CB-Q7-Info offers the following interfaces (partly depending on the used module) in the I/O field for direct connection: one RS232, one or two Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0/3.0, one USB OTG, one DVI-D, one DisplayPort 1.2 and one Audio Line Out. Optionally, it is possible to mount optically isolated RS485/422 Interface modules. The 2.5“ SATA slot enables the required SSD or HDD to be connected without any additional cables.

The Baseboard is supplied with +12 or +24V DC and optional (if needed by the system) with additional +5V DC standby voltage. Therefore, no additional power rails are needed in the system design. This saves costs.

In order to fulfil all requirements for digital signage applications, it is possible to connect IR-remote control interface, light sensors, external LEDs, temperature sensors and up to six PWM system fans. Therefore DATA MODUL offers an own Monitoring Software for Linux and Windows operating systems.
