The MASTR laser welding helmet, provided by Univet and distributed by LASER COMPONENTS, ensures comprehensive protection and comfort, particularly for users of handheld laser welding tools.

It safeguards individuals not just from traditional welding hazards (such as welding arc, metal spatter, and UV light) but also from the harmful laser radiation that poses a risk of permanent damage to eyes and face.

Constructed from a superior composite material designed specifically for this use, the MASTR helmet includes not only a conventional anti-glare shield through an auto-darkening filter (ADF) but also a laser filter to block dangerous laser radiation. Weighing only 700g, it is remarkably lightweight, ensuring that welders remain unburdened, even during extended use. The helmet's adjustable headband and the options for height and tilt adjustments allow for a custom fit for every user.

Unique in the market, the MASTR helmet holds full certification against all relevant laser and occupational safety standards, a distinction not shared by most competitors who only certify the front part of the helmet to laser standards. It meets the requirements of CE-EN166, CE-EN175, ISO 16321-2, ANSI Z87.1, CSA Z94.3, and DIN EN207, providing all-around compliance.

Alexandra Bahr, Product Engineer for Laser Safety Products at LASER COMPONENTS, commented on the helmet's development: "Univet aimed to produce a helmet that not only adheres to the most stringent safety regulations but also prioritises the comfort and needs of the user. The MASTR helmet, meeting European occupational and laser safety standards in full, represents this ambition achieved to a remarkable degree."
