HARTING has extended its Han HC 650 range of heavy-duty connectors with a new crimp version that can accommodate cables of up to 240 mm² cross-section.
The new connector, which has been specially designed for high-voltage rail applications, requires a force of 13 tons to be applied during assembly. Heat-shrinkable tubing is supplied at the contact end for applications at working voltages up to 4000 V.

The contacts on the crimp version are the same as on the standard axial-screw Han® HC 650 units in order to maintain full compatibility with all existing housings and mounting frames.
