Amphenol distributor Inelco Hunter announces the availability of the AX Series Colour Coded Sleeve System for industry-standard XLR plug and socket connectors.

Amphenol developed the XLR audio connector design in 1995, and it has since become the globally accepted standard in the audio industry. The AX sleeves are available in ten colours and can be supplied in bulk for field assembly and marking or factory pre-assembled.

Amphenol’s XLR AX Series plug and socket connectors feature an ergonomic sleeve designed for excellent grip. The connectors incorporate chuck-type cable clamping to suit 3 to 8mm cable outside diameters.

The XLR plugs and sockets come with gold-plated contacts and are available in 3 to 7 pin configurations. The Mini XLR connectors also feature gold-plated contacts and are available in 3 to 6 pin configurations.

The XLR 1/4” Combo connectors are offered in either a low profile or C-type profile. The 1/4” chassis features vertical or horizontal gold or silver contacts, provides 360° grounding with a four-point rivet fixing, and is available in a nickel or black zinc housing. These are available in 3, 4, 5, and 6A options.

Inelco Hunter's engineering support ensures rapid implementation, speeding up customers’ time-to-market. Inelco Hunter's engineers work closely with SME engineers, providing added-value support at the core of Inelco Hunter’s philosophy.
