FCI Launches Next-Generation SAS Storage Interface
FCI has developed the next-generation SAS storage interface with its new Mini-SAS HD product portfolio offering. The product line meets the signal bandwidth requirements of 6 Gb/s to 12 Gb/s or the respective SAS 2.1 and proposed SAS 3.0 industry standard signaling specifications. The system also provides a greater linear board port density (11mm port-to-port) versus the previous SAS interconnect systems (with a linear port density of just 19.01 ...
FCI's PwrBlade+T Connector Provides Higher Linear Current Density
FCI announces the PwrBlade+ AC/DC power distribution connector system. This next-generation power connector is focused on demanding power applications requiring higher linear current density and low power loss. It is capable of 192A/linear inch with eight adjacent high power contacts energized simultaneously and = 0.7mO power contact resistance after environmental exposure.
SUYIN offers Side-entry, 6-pin SIM card connector in housing
The new 254089HB surface-mountable 6-pin connectors for subscriber identity module (SIM) cards feature a side-entry design for mating SIMs on the long side of the card. Consequently, these connectors are particularly well-suited for use in applications facing very tight space constraints inside miniaturized portable electronic devices or in stationary systems featuring a special shape.
Neoconix Launches Low Profile, Small Pitch, 1-Day Lead Time Connector Family
Neoconix today announced immediate availability of its new SPH1 family of compression connector products for flex-to-board and board-to-board applications. Utilizing PCBeam connector technology, these products combine high density and high reliability with outstanding electrical performance.
Lane’s ITW McMurdo Edgecard PCB Connectors Assembled And Delivered Quickly
Lane Electronics, one of the UK’s leading interconnection specialists, has expanded the production and assembly capability of its ITW McMurdo Edgecard PCB connector range. Because manufacture and assembly is on site, delivery lead times for these PCB connectors are generally very short.
SUYIN Spring-contact battery connectors: Housing variations reduce cost of development, storage, tools and placement
In increasing numbers of electronics development projects, cost-optimization efforts are focusing more closely on ensuring that different modules share as many identical or similar components as possible. This creates significant potential for savings – beginning with purchasing and storage and continuing through development and tool costs all the way to placement processes in volume production.
FCI Introduces Multi-port and Single-port RJ45 Modular Jack Connectors
FCI is expanding its modular jack product line with multi-port and single-port RJ45 connectors. The modular jack is ideal for broadband switches, hubs, routers, servers and telecommunication applications. FCI compared its RJ45 with selective gold plating against traditional versions with full gold plating and found no deterioration of the connector’s durability or performance, providing a clear competitive advantage.
Yokowo adds another compact model to the line of two peice battery connectors with two-way insertion capability
Due to popular demand, Yokowo’s two piece battery connectors has expanded and now will include a compact version. Featuring two less blades than the original 6-blade type, the new 4 blade model is designed to also allow for flexibility for both horizontal and vertical blade insertion. The compact size has also resulted in a reduction in pitch (from 3mm to 2.5mm).
Lane Electronics - Micronector High Density Two Part Connectors
Lane Electronics has made available ITW McMurdo’s Micronector 200 and Micronector 300 high density 2mm pitch connectors. By agreement with ITW McMurdo, Lane Electronics has a BS approved assembly at its Horsham HQ where standard and customer specific product can be supplied on very short lead times.
Everett Charles Technologies Introduces Compliant Connector Group
Everett Charles Technologies (ECT) announces its new Compliant Connector Group (CCG) to provide flexible solutions for interconnect needs. Compliant connectors offer superior durability in high cycle life applications. Pogo-based solutions can maintain consistent electromechanical characteristics in excess of one million cycles. When mating planar tolerances pose a challenge or a longer reach is required, pogo-based connectors are the preferred s...
