As the industry’s first ultra-low noise, single-supply op amps, Intersil’s ISL28190, ISL28290, ISL28191 and ISL28291 allow designers to simplify designs by achieving noise performance previously only attained with dual supply devices. This, along with the industry’s best harmonic distortion (THD+N) at 0.00017% (ISL28X90) and 0.00018% (ISL28X91) make this family of rail-to-rail output op amps ideally suited for noise-sensitive audio, medical and industrial instrumentation applications.
The devices, part of Intersil’s pinPOINT™ Precision Analogue product line, deliver noise performance up to four times better than competitive single-supply op amps. The ISL28X90 sets the new industry standard for single-supply, rail-to-rail output op amps at 1.0nV/rt(Hz), while the ISL28X91 comes in at just 1.7nV/rt(Hz).

The op amps are optimised for operation at 5V and below, with the single channel amplifiers offered in a space-saving SOT23 package while the dual channel amplifiers are offered in a 10-lead MSOP package. Single channel amps in 1.6mm x 1.6mm micro-TDFN package and dual channel amps in the 1.8mm x 1.4mm micro-TDFN package are now sampling.

The combination of superior noise, harmonic distortion and bandwidth performance is in keeping with Intersil’s complete pinPOINT™ Precision Analogue product line’s commitment to unwavering accuracy over time and temperature.

The ISL28190 and the ISL28191 are available in quantities of 1,000 in 6-lead SOT-23 packages, whilst the ISL28291 and the ISL28290 are available in quantities of 1,000 in 10-lead MSOP packages.
