GTK, the manufacturer of low cost, high reliability interconnect devices and displays is now launching a custom fabrication service with the aim of adding value and reducing time to market for its customers. The company now has the capability to produce sub-assemblies or full product assembly including product development and engineering. PCB encapsulation using insert moulding can be performed; and custom displays – LCD or LED – can be created and delivered even for relatively low order quantity requirements.
Comments sales and marketing director, John Morath: “Our job is to bring total choice to the market and add value for the customer. Our resources enable customers to get to market quicker and more cost effectively integrating design, tooling and assembly processes into one single process.”

A further advantage for GTK’s customers is its “designed in Europe, manufactured offshore” policy, which enables the company to follow business all over the world. GTK UK can work closely with OEMs in Europe on developing new products, and continue to provide its services once the project moves offshore for volume manufacturing.

GTK’s new branch in Taiwan was built to support the migration of OEMs manufacturing for the European market and requiring its certifications and approvals. Crucially, this means customers can forget about re-sourcing products and re-approving parts all over again. The Taiwanese office is fully-functional offering local sales support, logistics and technical expertise. In addition, the Tai-run 31k square metre factory in Guangdong, China is fully UL, CSA, ISO9001 and ISO14001 approved. GTK has also begun work on its new factory in Jiang Xi Quan Nan, China, which is expected to produce over 900,000 pieces of cable per month. The facility, measuring 14000m², will employ a workforce of 800.
