XP Power announced the ACM06 and ACM18 series of medically-approved wall mount / plug top power supplies that meet the latest Department of Energy (DoE) Level VI and Code of Conduct (CoC) Tier 2 standards. With single outputs of 6W and 18W respectively, they feature industry leading efficiency figures and use less energy while operating at no load to help reduce the impact on the environment and reduce energy costs.

XP Power has signed a global distribution agreement with RS Components and Allied Electronics. Covering XP Power’s AC-DC power supplies, DC-DC converters and high voltage power supplies, over 2,500 products will now be available from RS and Allied.

Two 2W rated DC/DC converters for use in medical device applications that require safety isolation between the input and output have been announced by XP Power. The IML02 and ISM02 provide 4,000VAC reinforced isolation with 1 x MOPP at 300VAC (250VAC model IML02) working voltage and, useful for patient connected devices, have a low 2µA patient leakage current.

The ECF40 series of single output 40W ultra compact AC/DC power supplies has been announced by XP Power. These open frame convection-cooled units are capable of delivering the full output power of 40W without the need for any external forced air flow up to 50°C. 

A series of surface mount (SMD) DC-DC converters rated at 1, 3 and 6W of output power with single and dual outputs, has been launched by XP Power.

Configurable, digitally controlled, AC/DC power supplies from XP Power are constructed in a compact low profile 1U mechanical chassis format for space constrained designs. The nanofleX series can accommodate up to four single-slot plug-in customer selected output voltage modules. Modules can deliver up to 850W from a universal input voltage or up to 1,200W from a high line source, while minimising audible fan noise.

XP Power has announced the nanofleX series of configurable digitally controlled AC/DC power supplies. This modular supply is constructed in a compact low profile 1U mechanical chassis format that suits today's space constrained designs and can accommodate up to four single-slot plug-in customer selected output voltage modules

Expanding its range of wall mounted plug-in power supplies, XP Power has announced the VEL and VER series. These wall plug PSUs provide a wide range of power levels and meeting the energy efficiency and no load requirements of the new DoE Energy Efficiency Level VI and the EU CoC Tier 2 standards.

Offering high efficiency, typically up to 92%, the JWL and JSK series of regulated, metal cased 40 and 50W DC/DC converters has been announced by XP Power. Fitting the industry standard 50.8x25.4mm (2x1") footprint and pin outs, they are suited for use in a broad range of mobile and portable board mounted applications that require a high power density, up to 50W output and 1,500VDC input to output isolation.

Providing a 1500VAC input/output isolation at a 250VAC working voltage to facilitate a 1 x MOPP, XP Power has announced the IMM series of 1 and 2W DC/DC converters. The IMM01 1W and the IMM02 2W single and dual output converters are approved to the international medical safety standards ANSI/AMII ES60601-1, CSA 22.2 No 60601-1 and EN/IEC60601-1.

Measuring just 33.5x125.5x55.5mm, a series of compact external single output 65W AC/DC power supplies has been introduced by XP Power. The ALM65 series are approved to both the ITE EN/UL 60950-1 and IEC60601-1 / ANSI/AMMI ES60601-1 3rd edition medical safety standards, have a maximum leakage current of 250µA and provide two means of patient protection (2 x MOPP) isolation.

Comprised of three models with ultra wide input voltage ranges, the DTE series of fully encapsulated single output DC/DC converters has been introduced by XP Power. Respectively offering 20, 40 and 60W output power, the DTE20, DTE40 and DTE60 are available in either a chassis mount or a DIN rail format, offering flexibility to the designer of the end-product.

Designed and certified for medical applications, XP Power has announced the JHL and JHM series of encapsulated, isolated and regulated DC/DC converters. The 3W JHL03, 6W JHL06 and 15W JHM15 are approved to the 3rd edition international medical safety standards EN60601-1:2006 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1:2005, feature a low 2uA maximum patient leakage current and offer 2 x MOPP.

Available in either an encapsulated or open frame mechanical format, the EME05 series of ultra-compact, single output, 5W AC/DC power supplies have been unveiled by XP Power. Claimed by the manufacturer to be one of the smallest 5W supplies on the market, the EME05 measures just 35.6x23.7x17.6mm, taking up minimal space in the end application.

XP Power has announced the AJM90 series of 90W single output external AC/DC power supplies. Meeting the US Department of Energy’s new Level VI no load / standby power and active mode efficiency specification, the AJM90 consumes less than 0.21W when no load is connected.

XP Power has announced the launch of its new website at www.xppower.com. The mobile optimised site is specifically designed to improve interaction and the overall user experience. Site enhancements include additional product selector tools, a rapid datasheet finder and more comprehensive company information covering topics such as standards certification, conformance to environment specifications and quality assurance details.

XP Power has developed four external power supply series that enable products to meet the new EU and US environmental and energy efficiency regulations which come into force this year. The VEC40, VEC50, VEC65 and VES90 series of external AC/DC power supplies all comply with the new DoE level VI (US) and CoC Tier 2 (EU) regulations.

A new European Configuration Centre has been opened by XP Power. Located near Reading, the centre complements the existing configuration facilities in North America and Asia. TUV and UL approved, the centre offers customers quick access to a broad range of modular configured AC/DC power supply products.

XP Power has announced the high efficiency ECP130 series of miniature open-frame AC/DC power supplies, with safety approvals for the ITE and medical equipment markets. The units deliver the full 130 W output with only 10 CFM of forced air cooling and are also able to provide a high convection cooled rating of 100 W, eliminating the need for cooling fans.

XP Power announced that it has acquired the business and assets of EMCO High Voltage Corporation (EMCO), a designer and manufacturer of high voltage power modules, for a total cash consideration of $12.0m (£7.8m). EMCO, based in Northern California and with manufacturing operations in Nevada, supplies the industrial and medical sectors with a broad range of standard, modified and custom high voltage products.
