Würth exhibit power modules & EMC solutions at PCIM Asia 2016

Würth Elektronik has revealed that it will be exhibiting at PCIM Asia 2016, taking place from 28th to 30th June, 2016, in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. At the event, the manufacturer will be focusing on power modules, such as the step-down converters of the Magl³C product series, and the topics of wireless power transfer and energy harvesting. Demoboards will be presented for all three focal topics.

Wire-stripping is a thing of the past

The special feature: thanks to the insulation-displacement technique employed in the WR-TBL terminal blocks, the cables no longer need be stripped. The terminal blocks are supplied in the 3.81mm and 5.08mm spacing pitches, both with and without flanging.

Online design tool receives an upgrade

eiSos developers can now simulate the power inductors from Würth Elektronik via the company’s updated RED EXPERT. The losses determined with RED EXPERT are based on current and voltage waveforms typical in applications. Besides the core and winding losses, they also include the losses arising from the specific geometries of the inductance, such as the air gap.

LAN transformers enable speeds of up to 10Gbit/s

Würth Elektronik eiSos is expanding the portfolio of their Ethernet modules with LAN transformers for speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. The transformers support Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 100W and currents up to 1A per channel. Würth Elektronik eiSos is the only manufacturer worldwide to offer 10-Gbit LAN transformers with an extended temperature range (-40 to +85°C).
