TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the KMS-A series of single output, medically certified 15 - 60W encapsulated power supplies. With a Class II input, the products require no earth ground connection, making them suitable for use in a range of medical, dental and home healthcare. TDK Corporation presents the MAF1608G noise suppression filter for audio lines. When inserted in audio lines, the filter keeps THD+N of the audio signals to the world's lowest levels of 0%. At the same time the miniature component (1.6x0.8x0.8mm) features a high rated current of 1.6A and a low DC resistance of 0.06Ω.

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda CUS200M series of AC/DC power supplies. With efficiencies up to 94%, the series can deliver 200W with convection cooling or up to 250W with 1.5m/s airflow. The units, packaged in the industry standard 3x5” footprint, have both medical and ITE certification to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60950-1 regulatory standards.

TDK Corporation has expanded its CGA lineup of high-voltage MLCCs for automotive applications. The CGA6 and CGA9 series of MLCCs, which have a rated voltage of 1000V, feature types with capacitances ranging from 1 to 33nF, the world's widest range. The MLCCs are available with both C0G and NP0 temperature characteristics.

TDK Corporation presents the fully revised Data Book for EPCOS NTC Inrush Current Limiters (ICLs), which covers the extended product range of standard NTC ICLs. Measuring in with reduced dimensions of just 0.4x0.2x0.2mm, the inductors feature a Q factor of 21 at 1GHz, the highest value for any multilayer inductor of its size, making them suitable for RF applications in smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices.

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iBH series of 80W, 20A Point of Load (POL) non-isolated DC/DC converters, featuring a wide 0.7 to 5.5V output adjustment range. The iBH converters can operate from either 5 or 12Vdc bus voltages, having a wide input voltage range of 3.5 to 14V, reducing inventory carrying costs by stocking just one part number.

TDK Corporation and Micronas Semiconductor Holding jointly announced that the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which TDK will launch an all cash public tender offer for all publicly held registered shares of Micronas for CHF 7.50 per share.

TDK Corporation is cooperating with relyon plasma GmbH on the joint development and manufacture of application-specific plasma components and systems. Based in Regensburg, Germany, relyon plasma is a European R&D leader and manufacturer in plasma technologies. The key component in the jointly developed systems will be the TDK CeraPlas, a new kind of piezo-based cold plasma generator.
