Phase detect technology focuses lens in 0.3s at 25lx

Stacked CMOS imaging sensor offers higher pixel performance

A fully-functional stacked CMOS imaging sensor, claimed to feature a smaller die footprint, higher pixel performance and better power consumption compared to traditional monolithic non-stacked designs, has been successfully demonstrated by ON Semiconductor. The company demonstrated the technology on a test chip with 1.1µm pixels, and will introduce it later this year.

PFC offline drivers target LED lighting applications

A series of PFC offline AC/DC drivers, designed for high performance LED lighting applications, has been released by ON Semiconductor. Single stage design implementations up to 60W that require high power factors are supported by the NCL30085, NCL30086 and NCL30088, while two stage design implementations up to 150W that require low optical ripple and wide LED forward voltage variation are supported by the NCL30030.

Radiation-resistant ASICs ensure data & IP integrity

ON Semiconductor introduces two new devices for use in vehicle lighting systems in A5.225 at electronica 2014. The NCV78763 advanced smart power ballast and dual channel LED driver provides a highly efficient single-chip automotive lighting solution that is capable of driving two strings of LEDs up to 60V. A DC current of 1.6A can be supported on each output.

CMOS modem IC for HART industrial communications

Designed for highway addressable remote transducer (HART) industrial communication implementations, a single-chip CMOS modem IC has been unveiled by ON Semiconductor. The NCN5193 supports Bell 202 shift frequencies of 1200-2200Hz and is capable of delivering a 1200bps half-duplex data rate.
