New Hall-effect joystick available from Aerco
Now available in the UK from Aerco is the range of Model 501C Hall-effect Joysticks from US company Ultra Electronics Measurement Systems (Ultra MSI). Ultra MSI’s unique adaptation of Hall-effect technology for multi-axis joystick sensing was first patented and introduced by Ultra MSI in 1998 (U.S. Patent No. 5850142) and offers many benefits over traditional potentiometer and inductive joystick designs.
Warm white LEDs can be used with filters to provide virtually any colour
Now available from Aerco is a range of warm white LEDs from MARL that emit a colour temperature similar to an incandescent lamp allowing them to be used with filters to provide virtually any colour.
7-inch TFT-LCD module features PC / video input and single supply voltage
Anders Electronics has introduced a 7-inch widescreen TFT-LCD module complete with interface, power sequencing and OSD control already integrated, to ease design challenges and reduce time to market for new products. The complete module is based on a TPO TFT panel and is RoHS compliant.
High power LEDs can handle the heat
Forge Europa has recently developed a number of standard assemblies using high power LEDs (1W) known as aLED. These aLEDs consist of a high power LED mounted on to a thermally optimised substrate complete with a connector or solder pads. This takes the headaches of thermal design away from the luminaire manufacturer and gives them an easy to use sub-assembly.
1W high-power LEDs in really thin package
Avago Technologies has announced its first series of 1W, high-power LEDs in one of the thinnest packages available. This new LED is said to offer brighter illumination, more reliability than competing products and can be installed easily. Avago's ASMT-MX00 is ideal for use in applications that require ultra-high-brightness LEDs, such as flashlights, reading lamps, architectural and garden lighting.
Interface kits support LG Philips LCD displays
Anders Electronics has launched a range of interface kits designed to help customers develop and implement applications based on the LG Philips LCD range of TFT displays. The kits require only the addition of a 12V power supply and video interface cable, allowing exceptionally fast and straightforward evaluation, development, and implementation.
Next-generation PCT™ controller from Zytronic offers designers even greater flexibility for integrated touchscreen solutions
Zytronic has enhanced its projected capacitive technology (PCT™) controller for its touch sensor family, creating a more compact implementation that supports a choice of on-glass or flex-mounted controller to optimally meet customer requirements.
22mm LED pilot lamps
Specialist distributor Switchtec¹s PL22 range of LED pilot lamps are said to offer benefits over traditional filament lamps. They offer very low power consumption, robustness, small size, are brighter and they are competitively priced.
Power LEDs in a range of colours
CML Innovative Technologies has introduced a range of RoHS compliant Power LEDs available in 1, 2.5 and 5W versions and a range of colours - pure and warm white, blue, green, red, cyan and yellow & RGB.
TFT-LCD delivers high transmittance wide viewing angle and high speed response
Toshiba has announced the development of a new TFT-LCD that delivers high transmittance, a wide viewing angle and high speed response by combining Optically Compensated Bend (OCB) and Field Sequential technologies. Field Sequential technology does not require colour filters, differing from general colour LCDs.
