Toshiba’s microUSB adapter module allows ultra-high-speed wireless data transfer using TransferJet communications to be implemented easily. At MWC 2013 the module will be on display with newly developed application software for Android host systems. Data transfer via TransferJet can be implemented with most smartphones, tablets and other Android devices that have a microUSB port.
As well as the microUSB adapter module, Toshiba also offers a USB dongle and microSD card as options for rapid addition of TransferJet capabilities to existing devices.

About TransferJet
TransferJet is a close proximity wireless transfer technology standard promoted by the TransferJet Consortium whose membership consists of 45 companies (as of February 14, 2013), including Toshiba. TransferJet technology provides simple wireless connection and high-speed data transfer with low power consumption just by selecting on the screen of a device the data file to be transferred and by touching the receiving device with that device. Applications for TransferJet technology are expected to expand when combined with various devices and technologies, such as digital signage and Near Field Communications.
