New connector manufacturing agreement means shorter delivery times

Thanks to a manufacturing agreement between Hypertac and Aerco, Hypertac’s HPD and HPF printed circuit board connectors are now available from Aerco with a typical lead time of two weeks.

Hypertac has appointed Aerco as an authorised assembling distributor of these popular, high-performance connectors and it is expected that this improved availability will be highly significant in areas such as the military and aerospace sectors that are increasingly reliant on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components in the quest to drive down costs and time to market. In addition to short lead-times Aerco will also offer full technical support and after-sales service.

Chris Parsonage, Hypertac sales director said: “The quality and performance of Hypertac connectors have never been in question. However, it is a serious challenge to supply the electronics industry with high quality connectors in a wide range of variants in the time scales customers’ require to meet demands for spares, repair contracts, rapid prototyping and quick turnaround JIT systems. We are sure that Aerco becoming an assembling distributor will solve this problem and allow us to serve existing users more effectively and make our HPD and HPF connectors available to a wider range of customers.”
