CUI has announced a line of wall plug-in AC/DC power supplies for the US, Japanese and European markets. The SWI6, SWI12, SWI18 and SWI24 with either North American or European input blades are designed to meet the stringent average efficiency and no load power requirements mandated by the US Department of Energy (DOE) set to go into effect on the 10th of February, 2016.
The Level VI standards aim to significantly lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected to the system.
The 6, 12, 18 and 24W wall plug adapters all feature a wide universal input voltage range of 90~264VAC and are available in single output voltages of 5, 5.9, 9, 12, 15 and 24VDC depending on the series. All models meet the Level VI standard’s no load power consumption requirement of less than 0.1W. Protections for over voltage, over current and short circuit are also included as are a range of DC output connector options.
Models with input blades for North American and Japanese applications offer UL/cUL and PSE safety approvals while models with European input blades come with the CE mark. All models also meet FCC Part 15 Class B standards for EMI/EMC.
