Polyurethane resin specialist ALH Systems has developed what it says is the safest two-part resin system. The NP2500 resin system goes well beyond the RoHS directive and contains no Mercury catalysts, no Phthalate plasticisers or no monomeric Isocyanates and is classified as non hazardous according to the latest EC criteria.
The optical transparency and low tear strength allows component identification and removal.
The soft cured resin is flexible down to –50 OC and is suitable for the most delicate electronic applications where thermal or mechanical shock is encountered.

It is likely that NP2500 will find further applications in wet and humid environments with manufacturers of sonar equipment, control modules, umbilicals and sensors being particularly interested.
