So that PCB manufacturers can see for themselves the decisive benefits of stencil-free solder jet printing – which are already enhancing the performance and profitability of more than 100 companies across the UK and Europe - SMT expert MYDATA has set up a new and informative YouTube channel – www.youtube.com/mydataautomation.

Videos featured on the channel include interviews with current users of MYDATA MY500 solder jet printers, who enthusiastically explain how the new technology is helping them to significantly reduce set up times for prototypes and new products, and to work easily with even the most “difficult” of components. Also available on the channel are videos that describe exactly how solder jet technology works and show the MY500 in operation.

Among the many benefits highlighted by end users in the videos is the ability of solder jet printing to provide independent control over solder paste volume on a pad-by-pad basis. This means, for example, that even boards with a dense mix of fine-pitch and large SMD components, which are virtually impossible to print with using conventional stencil technology, can be handled with ease using the MY500.

Other users highlight the benefit of the MY500 to help with assembly of package on package components, intrusive reflow of connectors as well as BGA upgrades on already assembled product. With the latest release of software now allowing for multilevel boards with editable jetting height, affording you even more flexibility to jet into a cavity or jet on a PCB with already premounted components

Also explained and discussed are the cost savings that result from the elimination of stencils and the fast response that MY500 users are able to offer their customers, as they no longer have to wait for stencils to be produced before commencing board assembly.

Videos on the new MYDATA YouTube channel are packed with information, yet typically last no more than three or four minutes. They therefore provide visitors to the channel with a fast, efficient and convenient way of finding out why they should join the 100+ progressive PCB manufacturers who are already profiting from the use of solder jet technology.
