On-Board Grounding Contacts on the pcb are said provide excellent ESD suppression and EMI effectiveness. Frame Grounding contact is also said to be improved.

The contacts can be positioned local to a particular problematic component such as IC's, headphone sockets, antenna etc. They can even be even used in conjunction with a heatsink to provide grounding of the heatsink. In addition they have a secondary function of providing a localised cooling path. By using on-board grounding contacts can also eliminate the requirement for grounding screws.

Typical Applications include PC cards, Mobile phones, Note Book Computers, PDA, Mobile Sat Nav, Hand Held Instruments etc.

A wide range of profiles are available with heights from 1mm~7mm, with two version providing side contact. The contacts are supplied taped and reeled for automatic insertion.
