Recom Power’s RACPRO1-DP-T720-4SP has been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Power category.
As industrial automation moves towards decentralised architectures, power supplies increasingly need to operate directly at the machine rather than inside conventional switching cabinets. The RACPRO1-DP-T720-4SP was developed specifically for this environment, combining a rugged 720W IP67 power supply with intelligent four channel electronic load protection in one compact unit.
The integrated 4-channel e-Fuse enables up to four loads to be powered and protected independently. Each channel is individually monitored and current-limited, with NEC Class 2 adjustment at 3A. A fault or temporary overload on one channel therefore does not affect the others. Four LEDs provide real-time load current and fault indication, complemented by a remote DC-OK signal for commissioning and continuous monitoring. Safe Start supports highly capacitive loads of up to 40mF per channel.
Designed for direct installation on industrial equipment such as motors, conveyor systems and machines, the IP67-sealed enclosure protects against water and dust. The unit accepts a wide three-phase 320–600VAC input as well as 425-800VDC, enabling compatibility with DC microgrids. It delivers an adjustable 24VDC output and reaches peak efficiency of 95.8%.
Despite integrating power conversion and four-channel electronic protection, the unit measures only 192 × 177 × 60mm and achieves a power density of 400W/l. It delivers its full 720W output up to +30°C using convection cooling and provides 1,080W peak power for five seconds. The operating temperature range extends from -40 to +70°C.
The RACPRO1-DP-T720-4SP is certified to IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201, meets heavy industrial EMC requirements and offers extended surge immunity. By bringing power conversion, distribution and electronic load protection directly to the machine, it provides a purpose-built solution for decentralised industrial power architectures.
