When designing cleaning agents, researchers must answer the question of why different materials improve solubility in order to develop effective cleaning agents. Solubility is important due to the need to dissolve a soil into a cleaning agent. Past researchers developed predictive models for determining materials that are effective at dissolving a specific soil. The purpose of this presentation is to teach the science of solubility and how to these theorems can be used to select an effective cleaning agent.
