DSP receives strengthened RTOS support

Express Logic’s ThreadX RTOS now supports Analog Devices’ ADSP-BF70x Blackfin Digital Signal Processor (DSP) product family. ThreadX RTOS is well matched to the new Analog Devices (ADI) ADSP-BF70x processor family as well as to ADI’s other 32-bit microprocessors. To maximize developer efficiency, ThreadX is configured for ADI’s CrossCore Embedded Studio (CCES) IDE and is available in full source code.

As a high-performance DSP series, the ADSP-BF70x Blackfin processors deliver a class-leading 800 MMACS of processing power at less than 100 mW. This cost-effective, eight-member Blackfin processor family includes up to 1 MB of internal SRAM, eliminating the need for external memory in many applications, while also offering an optional DDR memory interface.

The ADSP-BF70x family offers designers unparalleled flexibility and functionality through an array of advanced connectivity options, such as USB, SDIO, CAN, ePPI, SPORT, and QuadSPI, while extending the life of battery-driven devices by enabling low-power applications through the bus.
