LASER COMPONENTS fibre optic feedthroughs

LASER COMPONENTS supplies fibre optic feedthroughs for easy delivery of optical signals between different environments, while preventing any leakage from one side of the barrier to the other.

These feedthroughs can withstand up to 1000 bars on one side of the barrier and high vacuum pressure on the other, as well as temperature differences from +600 C to 0.5K.  They can also be used in corrosive or radiative environments.

With a large product range with PM, SM and MM fibres suited for high-vacuum (HV) and ultrahigh-vacuum (UHV) as little as 10–10 mbar l/s.  Thanks to different sizes such as CF and KF flanges, the feedthroughs can be easily mounted on a chamber wall.

These hermetic fibre optic feedthroughs are available in two main configurations:

Bulkhead style equipped with standard FC/PC, FC/APC or SMA connectors where the fibres can be replaced and Inline style having no connector at the flange, but pigtails terminated with connectors. The latter solution allows high packing densities of multiple fibres to be achieved, at a good price/performance ratio.
