Sensor is resistant to water and chlorine
Miniaturisation, performance and precision are key for sensors embedded in consumer devices like swim watches and diving equipment, therefore creating a growing need for high-performing and exceptionally precise sensors. To address this growing demand, TE Connectivity (TE) has released the MS5839-02BA, an ultra-compact, chlorine resistant digital pressure and temperature sensor.
Rugged cable reduces corrosion potential in space applications
TE Connectivity (TE) has launched the SPEC 55 low fluoride (55 LF) wire and cable insulation system for space and high altitude environments. Made from rugged fluoropolymer, TE’s SPEC 55 LF insulation system has an outgassing rating of less than ten PPM, which helps reduce the potential for corrosion of other components due to trapped gases escaping in a vacuum or low-pressure environment.
P-Clamps offer improved flexibility and install time
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, introduced its new P-Clamps with lock and mounting features that offer engineers the flexibility to rethink the way electrical and fluid systems are configured. Engineered with separate mounting and locking features, TE’s P-Clamps can be installed earlier in the assembly process compared to standard AS21919 P-Clamps.
M8/M12 cable assemblies feature Fieldbus protocols
TE Connectivity is introducing new M8/M12 cable assembly solutions for Fieldbus data communications, complementing its existing Sensor/Actuator cable assembly solutions for Industrial Networks. The new A and B-coded M8/M12 cable assemblies comply with Profibus, DeviceNet and CC-link protocols, offering multiple options for a variety of needs.
HL low fire hazard markers designed for harsh environments
TE Connectivity (TE), has announced that it now offers HL Low Fire Hazard cable markers designed to identify large-diameter wire and cable, as well as post-connector installation within harsh environments. Identification print is guaranteed when using TE’s WINTOTAL software in conjunction with the recommended ribbon and thermal transfer printers.
Thermal bridge solution significantly improves resistance
TE Connectivity (TE) is introducing its thermal bridge technology that can provide up to two times better thermal resistance over traditional thermal technologies such as gap pads or thermal pads. As systems like servers, switches and routers deliver higher speeds and grow more sophisticated, their power requirements are rising, leading to a need for new solutions that can handle more heat.
Sensors in sports: Connected home to prepare for game day
In this video, TE Connectivity share some connected home pre-game prep tips.
Shielded connectors expand harsh environment capabilities
TE Connectivity is extending its time-tested 369 connector series with the introduction of the new 369 shielded rectangular connectors for environments that demand ambient EMI noise protection. These connectors incorporate the benefits of the 369 series, which is qualified for use in a wide range of commercial aerospace applications, with EMI shielding that opens up new application possibilities.
Connectors support data rates up to 28Gbps NRZ
TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced its new zSFP+ stacked belly-to-belly connectors that are designed to support data rates at both 28G NRZ and 56 Gbps PAM-4. The upright latching feature for zSFP+ stacked belly-to-belly connectors is a key capability that can accommodate four row belly-to-belly applications to enable higher faceplate density and maximise PCB space usage for hyperscale data centres and networking switch applications.
Connector ecosystem for sensor and control system applications
TE Connectivity (TE) is building on its LUMAWISE Endurance S Zhaga Book 18 streetlight connectors to create an entire certified ecosystem of products designed for sensor and other control system applications. The original connectors enable Zhaga-D4i certification for luminaires, makes connectivity future-proof and will be able to host the latest generation of nodes that fulfil the Zhaga-D4i requirements.
Connectors with 2mm centerlines for board signal transfers
TE Connectivity (TE) has expanded its range of AMPMODU interconnection solutions with the introduction of 2mm centerline board connectors. These new connectors occupy 38% less space than traditional 2.54mm centerline products, while reliably and economically meeting the packaging and inter-connection requirements of today's miniature, sophisticated electronics.
PCIe Gen 4 card edge connectors support speeds up to 16Gbps
TE Connectivity (TE) has introduced its new PCIe Gen 4 card edge connectors, which meet industry PCI-SIG Card Electromechanical (CEM) specification 4.0 and support Intel and AMD next-generation platforms with up to 16 Gbps of bandwidth.
Transportation safety improved with unsealed connectors
Offering improved safety and ease of assembly, TE Connectivity (TE) has launched a new addition to its unsealed connector portfolio for the transportation industry. The AMP MCP 18P monoblock connector offers trust and reliability in harsh environments for industrial and commercial transportation with its flame retardant composition and new lever design.
Industrial managed M12-based Ethernet switches for rail applications
It has been announced that TE Connectivity (TE) now offers EN50155 Managed Ethernet switches that enable secure and reliable Gigabit-speed networks in harsh network environments on railway rolling stock, even where vibration levels are extreme.
PCB connector portfolio expanded with push-in clamp termination style
TE Connectivity (TE) is expanding its BUCHANAN PCB Connector portfolio with maintenance-free push-in clamp termination. TE’s products come with low insertion and release forces for ferruled wires and unferruled solid wires without the need for special tools. The tool-less design reduces installation times up to 80% compared with traditional screw clamp termination.
