The new products enable photovoltaic system installers to make reliable connections more easily, quickly and cost-effectively. SOLARLOK 2.0 is a field-installable product that uses Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC) technology to create a connection between panels and cables without the need for any specialist tooling.

IHVA high-voltage DC contactor for superior control

Specialist in connectivity and sensors, TE Connectivity (TE), has introduced the IHVA 200, a DC contactor for 200A/110VDC loads, with improved cost-effectiveness and reliability to high-voltage battery charging stations. The contactor incorporates a patented design that does away with the standard charging station approach of using inert gases in a hermetically sealed zone to prevent explosions when an excess current or voltage is applied.

  TE Connectivity has launched its new Generation Y connectors for High Voltage (HV) automotive battery applications. The product extends TE’s range of Generation Y connectors that can be used in HEV batteries. The Generation Y HV connectors support a signal current range from 4 to 10.5A and a voltage rating of up to 432V.

A definitive agreement has been signed by TE Connectivity (TE) to acquire the Kissling group of companies, a provider of high- power relays and ruggedised switches used in a range of industries as well as other applications. The transaction is expected to close May 30th, 2019, following the completion of customary regulatory approvals.
