Chipset suits 14.5Gb/s quad-channel SR optical interconnects

  Semtech has announced production of its chipset for quad channel SR optical interconnects operating from 1 to 14.5Gb/s. The GN1090 is a quad channel TransImpedance Amplifier (TIA) while the GN1190 is a quad channel vertical cavity surface emitting laser driver.

24V TVS diode safeguards automotive antennas from ESD

Engineered to protect automotive antennas from ESD, a single-line TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) device has been released by Semtech. The RClamp2431TQ, part of Semtech’s AEC-Q100 protection platform, offers a unique combination of low-clamping ESD protection with an ultra-low capacitance rating, making it suited for safeguarding car antennas against the harsh electrical transient threats present in vehicles.

Pioneering the Internet of Things in Czech Republic

České Radiokomunikace (ČRa) has selected the LoRa wireless RF technology from Semtech Corporation as the RF platform for the company’s first Internet of Things (IoT)-based pilot programme. Working with network partners RWE GasNet and Softlink, ČRa has developed a LoRa-based solution that was tested in the spring of 2015 and has now been launched in select markets.

TVS provides automotive data ports

Semtech Corporation has announced the RClamp0524PQ, a 4-line integrated Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) array targeted at protecting automotive data lines against electrical transient threats. Today's cars come equipped with a variety of infotainment, navigation and camera assist systems that require high-speed interfaces to transport data. LoRa Russian IoT net covers 30m people

Semtech has announced that The Lace Company has deployed an IoT network, enabled by LoRa RF technology, covering more than a dozen major cities in Russia including Moscow and Saint Petersburg. The Lace Network covers more than 30m people across 9,000km2 and is the first and largest LPWAN to target coverage in Russia, a significant milestone for the IoT movement and LoRaWAN standardisation through the LoRa Alliance.
