Millimeter wave power measurements with the R&SNRP-Z58
Rohde & Schwarz presented world's first power sensor from DC to 110 GHz at the European Microwave Week 2012. The R&SNRP-Z58 thermal power sensor provides outstanding linearity and maximum accuracy for power measurements from DC to 110 GHz. The sensor is equipped with a 1 mm coax connector, and can be connected directly to a Rohde & Schwarz test instrument, a power meter base unit, or via USB to a laptop or PC.

R&S SGS100A vector signal generator now supports 80 MHz to 12.75 GHz
Rohde & Schwarz has enhanced its fully integrated R&S SGS100A by adding a model for I/Q modulated signals from 80 MHz to 12.75 GHz. Combined with an I/Q baseband generator, the instrument can be used to generate test signals for all radio standards in this frequency range.

u-blox and Rohde & Schwarz have successfully concluded a simulation of the Russian GLONASS satellite navigation system. The test, carried out with the R&S SMBV100A vector signal generator and its GNSS simulation options, verified the u blox proof-of-concept and the compatibility of u-blox receiver technology with the GLONASS transmission protocol.
