PCB layer design system speaks in many languages
New language versions of Speedstack, the PCB layer stackup design system have been launched by Polar Instruments. In addition to English, Speedstack is now available in German, Japanese, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese versions. Speedstack is already licensed with OEM designers, PCB technologists and PCB fabricators worldwide, providing an ultra-fast process for creating and accurately documenting stackups for High-Density Interconnect...
Test system upgrades impedance control on high-speed pcbs
Polar Instruments will preview its next-generation CITS880s Controlled Impedance Test System (CITS) at PCB West 2014 in Santa Clara, California (Sept 10). The system introduces Launch Point Extrapolation (LPE), enabling PCB fabricators to improve impedance control for the latest high-speed PCBs which use finer trace widths and thinner coppercompared to conventional boards.
productronica: Polar to preview latest PCB test system
Polar Instruments will preview its next-generation Atlas PCB insertion-loss test system at the productronica exhibition in Munich. Atlas 2014 introduces a new generation of Polar Instruments’ PCB insertion-loss test systems combining the upgrade from Single Ended TDR to Differential Insertion Loss (SET2DIL) to bidirectional SET2DIL and capability for Short Pulse Propagation (SPP) test method.
Insertion Loss Test System Upgraded To Meet SET2DIL Enhancement
Polar Instruments says that its Atlas Si SET2DIL (Single Ended TDR to Differential > Insertion Loss) insertion loss test system will be upgraded to support Bidirectional SET2DIL from June 2013. This upgrade follows the recent IPC proposal for SET2DIL insertion loss testing to be enhanced with Bidirectional SET2DIL. Polar Instruments’ customers using previous versions of the Atlas Si test system will be offered an upgrade, at no cost, to suppo...
Polar Instruments’ Speedstack Materials Library extended to include new PCB materials from Ventec Europe
Polar Instruments and Ventec Europe announce that the Materials Library in Polar’s Speedstack PCB stack-up design and documentation system has been extended to include Ventec’s latest PCB fabrication materials. The extended Speedstack library includes new materials such as Ventec’s latest VT464 halogen-free low-loss laminates which support RoHS-compliant assembly processes.
