Enhanced corrosion protection of water-based coatings systems

Formulators looking to enhance the corrosion protection of increasingly popular water-based coatings systems can now use Cortec’s M-120, a water-based corrosion inhibitor additive that does not contain heavy metals. M-120 can be used alone or in conjunction with other inhibitors to increase the corrosion protection abilities of both water-based and solvent-based systems. It is recommended for use in acrylic and alkyd resin systems.

Film protects products against corrosion

Cortec’s EcoWeave is a durable tarp-like film that protects heavy raw metal materials and finished products against corrosion. EcoWeave is made at Cortec Coated Products (CCP) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. High tech Nordson melters and slot die eliminate the need for dryers, resulting in big energy savings. EcoCortec launches VpCI Plastics Recycling Project

Cortec has announced that EcoCortec is implementing European wide initiative to collect and recycle used VpCI films and bags. This is the first recycling program of this type implemented in Europe. Within the “Plastic Recycling Project” EcoCortec’s customers will send their waste material back to Croatian plant which will then be completely recycled and used for manufacturing a new product.
