Vision sensors for reliable colour inspections

Banner Engineering has announced the release of iVu Color vision sensors for inspections based on colour or variations in colour. iVu Color vision sensors can be used to monitor objects for color or color variations, determine the presence and colour of one or more features, and verify that an object matches a reference colour or colours. iVu Color vision sensors can also inspect objects based on type, size, orientation, or position.

Miniature sensor designed for precise detection in small spaces

Miniature sensor designed for precise detection in small spaces
Banner Engineering has announced the release of VS8 Series miniature sensors for precise detection in applications with extremely limited space. Sensors in the VS8 Series have a space-saving form factor (21.1x14.6x8mm) for use in confined spaces and near moving parts. They are available in red laser, red LED, or blue LED models with opposed, retroreflective, adjustable, or fixed-field background suppression sensing modes. This versatility allows companies to match the sensing technology to the application.

Laser contrast sensor now features ranges up to 200mm

Laser contrast sensor now features ranges up to 200mm
Banner Engineering has expanded the maximum sensing range available for the Q3X laser contrast sensor with fixed background suppression. The Q3X now features four standard sensing ranges: 50, 100, 150 and 200mm, with fixed background suppression technology, and a 300mm model which uses standard intensity detection. The key innovation of the sensor is the combination of low-contrast detection within a defined sensing range.
