Avago Technologies has announced a new innovative flat gain, high linearity low noise gain block that can be used as either a broadband gain block or driver amplifier MMIC. Housed in an industry standard SOT-89 package measuring 4.5mm by 4.1mm by 1.5 mm, Avago’s MGA-30689 flat gain, high linearity gain block operates in the 40 to 2,600 MHz frequency band and only requires a simple DC biasing match.

Avago Expands Family of Fifth Generation Power Amplifiers for Mobile Handsets

Avago Technologies has announced the addition of five new CoolPAM power amplifiers (PAs) for Universal Mobile Telecommunications (UMTS) band handsets and datacard applications. The new ACPM-73x2 series of PAs are based on Avago’s fifth generation CoolPAM circuit technology which provides one of the longest talk times among existing power amplifiers with very low quiescent current at about 3mA.
