Colour sensor provides precise measurement on darker colours

The release of a new XYZ 'tri-stimulus' colour sensor has been announced by ams. It offers higher sensitivity and a wider choice of conversion times than any other previous device of its type. The AS73211 extends the existing ams portfolio of TCS3430 and AS7261 true colour sensors and addresses the requirements of high end displays, spotlights and colorimeters.

Smart capacitive sensing enables optimisation for speed

ams has released a new configurable capacitive sensing front end named the PCap04, which gives sensor manufacturers the ability to balance speed and resolution to match their design requirements. When optimised for speed, the PCap04 can capture and digitise up to 50,000 sensor measurements per second. When sampling at a slower rate to optimise for precision, the PCap04 can achieve a measurement resolution of 8aF.

ams, EBV Elektronik sign EMEA distribution pact

ams has signed a franchise distribution agreement with EBV Elektronik covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. ams expands Singapore manufacturing capacity

Supplier of high performance sensor solutions, ams has announced the expansion of its manufacturing operations in Singapore at JTC nanoSpace at Tampines. ams will operate a fully automated clean room with filter deposition technology for high precision, micro-optic sensors.
