A galvanic isolation of the CAN ports protects the electronics of the card and the respective computer against disturbances of up to 500V. The PCAN-PCI Express FD can be operated with ambient temperatures in a range of -40 to +85°C.
For the PCAN-PCI Express FD, there are device drivers for the Windows versions 7, 8.1, and 10, as well as for Linux. Besides the monitoring software PCAN-View for Windows which provides a plain analysis of the CAN traffic, several programming interfaces for Windows are in the scope of supply. PCAN-Basic 4 enables the basic CAN FD communication with internally developed software in a simple manner. Furthermore, libraries of various standardised protocols from the automotive sector are included for programming.
