Fibre optic basics from LASER COMPONENTS

LASER COMPONENTS is pleased to offer the Fibre-Trainer from TEMPO to assist with hands-on training for the installation, testing, and maintenance of fibre optic networks.

This compact setup has loss events that simulate a faulty connector, a macro bend and a damaged fibre optic cable. The end connectors on the fibre spools allow for loss test set connection and Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs) testing. Learning components consist of fibre optic basics, cleaning and inspection, visual fault locating, fibre splicing and OTDRs. Test, splicing and inspection instruments are not included but can be offered and are an ideal accompaniment for training and understanding purposes.
