Kontron will present its international ODM/EMS network and its comprehensive services across the entire product lifecycle under the Electronics² service brand at electronica 2026. As part of Electronics², Kontron Electronics, KATEK, and Kontron eSystems Leipzig will exhibit in Munich from 10-13th November 2026, in Hall A1, Booth 449. This year, Ennoconn will also be represented at the booth. Ennoconn’s capacity in Asia gives Electronics² customers additional options for global development and manufacturing strategies, local production, and more resilient supply chains. Together, Kontron and Ennoconn provide customers with one global development and manufacturing network, combining capabilities across Europe, North America, and Asia.

Under Electronics², Kontron brings together development, prototyping, and manufacturing expertise for customised electronics solutions. With one of Europe’s largest production networks, Kontron ranks second in the European ODM/EMS market. Customers can obtain all services from the initial product idea through series production, from a single source or selectively use individual offerings along the value chain. In addition, the Kontron Group contributes its technology and product portfolio. This includes IoT solutions, industrial control and communication technology, modules, and system and software solutions. Depending on project requirements, Kontron supports customers with individually developed products, customised system solutions, and standard products. Manufacturing in its own production facilities enables close support for products throughout their entire lifecycle.

The participating companies and brands will highlight different areas of expertise at the booth. Kontron Electronics focuses on custom electronics development, industrialisation, small- and medium-volume production, and its own product platforms. beflex, a brand of Kontron Electronics, complements this portfolio with rapid prototyping, near-series prototypes and small-volume production. KATEK contributes primarily automated high-volume manufacturing as well as development services in hardware, software, and mechanics. Kontron eSystems Leipzig combines plastics processing, electronics manufacturing, and system assembly. Ennoconn expands the portfolio in particular through development and manufacturing capabilities in Asia.

Another focus at the booth is the growing importance of cybersecurity and information security for connected electronic products. The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduces mandatory requirements for products with digital elements and applies to both hardware and software. Manufacturers must therefore take security aspects into account as early as the development stage and ensure that products remain secure and updateable throughout the intended support period. Kontron addresses these requirements with solutions including KontronOS, KontronGrid and accompanying cybersecurity consulting services. These include secure software architectures, signed firmware, controlled update processes, and the management of certificates, cryptographic keys and device identities.
