Dukosi’s DCIR and EIS Evaluation Kit (EVK) has been shortlisted for the Electronics Excellence Awards under the Test & Measurement category.
Dukosi brings lab-grade accuracy direct current internal resistance (DCIR) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements to every battery cell through the Dukosi DCIR and EIS EVK (Evaluation Kit). Its innovative Smart Cell architecture generates the measurement stimulus, captures the response, and processes results all directly on-cell, eliminating the influence of pack wiring and interconnects.
Dukosi can measure direct cell voltage and temperature in milliseconds, internal cell condition via DCIR in just one second, while deeper insight into ageing, degradation and defects via EIS takes several seconds. These accurate, repeatable measurements give richer data that can be used to improve cell performance, safety, and lifetime prediction.
The technology is designed for battery developers and system designers for electrified applications such as electric vehicles, industrial and marine applications, untethered robotics, battery energy storage systems, telecom infrastructure, and AI data centres. These applications can benefit from dependable cell-level advanced measurements to improve safety and performance, identify production outliers, monitor cell degradation, and make better battery system management decisions.
Leading global cell and battery manufacturers, OEMs and Tier 1s are already performing DCIR and EIS measurements using Dukosi’s DCIR and EIS evaluation platform ahead of implementation on product roadmaps, or are undertaking engineering validation within new Smart Cell battery designs.
