STMicroelectronics propels new era of ultra-wideband technology

STMicroelectronics introduces an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip family that comprehensively supports the next-generation wireless standard for localising and tracking devices at distances up to several hundred meters. This UWB chip family combines extended range with greater processing power and robustness to enable new and improved automotive, consumer, and industrial use cases, including secure digital access control, presence and motion sensing, and precise approach detection.
Low energy SoC covers multiple protocols

In stock at authorised distributor Mouser Electronics is the ESP32-C5 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy System-on-Chip (SoC) from Espressif Systems.
The ESP32-C5 SoC supports 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE 5, Zigbee 3.0, and Thread 1.4.
It integrates a high-performance (HP) 32-bit RISC-V processor, a low-power (LP) 32-bit RISC-V processor, wireless baseband and MAC (supporting Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE, and 802.15.4), an RF module, and multiple peripherals, with time-division coexistence among Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4.
Nordic Semiconductor expands nRF54L Series with Bluetooth

Nordic Semiconductor unveils its new entry-level, ultra-low-power Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) – the nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B. Both can serve as the main wireless SoC in single-chip systems, or operate as Bluetooth LE companion devices in multi-chip systems, benefiting from Nordic’s market-leading Bluetooth LE technology.
The nRF54LS05A and nRF54LS05B offer developers the key features of the nRF54L Series – robust Bluetooth LE connectivity, ultra-low-power consumption, and easy-to-use software – while optimising for the development of simple, cost-efficient Bluetooth LE end-products. With Nordic’s Bluetooth LE stack serving as the industry reference, developers also benefit from proven reliability and performance. This streamlined design makes the entry-level SoCs ideal for simple applications such as sensors, tags, beacons, remotes, and PC peripherals.
Synaptics introduces Wi-Fi 7 solution for IoT Edge applications

Synaptics Incorporated announced the SYN765x, an AI-native wireless solution for Edge intelligence. As a single-chip device combining AI-optimised compute with integrated Wi-Fi 7, the SYN765x is designed to bring scalable, real- time intelligence directly to smart appliances, home automation systems, and Industrial IoT (IIoT) applications.
SYN765x integrates Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth LE 6.0, and Thread/Zigbee across 2.4, 5, and 6GHz bands. Dedicated on-chip acceleration supports predefined AI-native control and signal-processing functions, reducing host processor load, while meeting strict latency and power requirements.
DigiKey adds IIoT-ready energy management system

The Carlo Gavazzi EMS series energy management system is an integrated solution for comprehensive energy monitoring and control.
It is in stock at authorised distributor DigiKey.
Designed in a compact 5-DIN module format, the EMS combines measurement, data logging, communication, and analysis into one powerful device.
