The company also announced the world’s fastest and lowest noise oscilloscope probe with 33GHz bandwidth and industry leading sensitivity for low-voltage, high-speed serial and RF signals.
Atmel Launches New Automotive-Qualified maXTouch Controller Family; Enables Single-Layer Shieldless Touchscreen and Touchpad Designs in Car Center Stacks
Atmel Corporation today announced the availability of a new maXTouch family to enable single-layer shieldless designs in automotive center stacks, navigation systems, radio interfaces or rear seat entertainment systems. Atmel’s mXT336S is optimized for 7-inch touchscreens, while the mXT224S targets smaller touchscreens and touchpads.
Starter Kits Launched to Lower Evaluation Costs
IAR Systems has launched its new Experiment! starter kits. The kits are aimed at creative evaluation for a low price. Developers can use the Experiment! kits to evaluate the embedded development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench and the included microcontroller, as well as design, start develop, integrate and test their applications.
Broadcast Test Centre Meets Audio, Video Multimedia Applications
Rohde & Schwarz has released a BTC broadcast test centre, which it says provides a complete testing environment for nearly all audio, video and multimedia applications – in a single device. The RF reference signal generator generates RF signals for all global TV and broadcasting standards and simulates transmissions.
ADLINK Unveils USB 2.0 Signal Acquisition Module
ADLINK Technology has released a four-channel USB 2.0 dynamic signal acquisition module, the USB-2405. A built-in IEPE excitation current source provides 2mA on each AI channel, and BNC connectors enable the USB-2405 to provide high accuracy and excellent dynamic performance for microphone and accelerometer measurement in vibration and acoustic applications.
Upgrade Kit Boosts Data Logger Performance
IPETRONIK's business division IPEmeasure now provides the M-LOG Upgrade Package. An upgraded M-LOG data logger features a performance increase of up to 60 per cent compared to conventional CAN data processing. The new reserve capacity can be used for additional calculations, trigger functions and storage groups.
Compact Spectrum Analyser Boasts 9kHz-3GHz Frequency Range
Saelig now has a 3GHz Spectrum Analyser designed on a new generation platform to offer high stability, a large screen display, light weight and compact size. Its advanced Spectrogram and Topography features greatly expand the application range of this versatile RF analysis instrument. The 9kHz-3GHz GSP-930 provides high frequency stability (25ppb or 0.025ppm), and a very low noise floor of -142dBm (pre-amplifier on) for high-sensitivity measure...
Agilent Unveils 28.4Gb/s Multiplexer With Optional De-Emphasis
Agilent Technologies introduced a 28.4-Gb/s multiplexer featuring optional de-emphasis with up to eight taps for R&D and test engineers who need to characterise receivers for next-generation servers, storage systems and data-centre networks. The multiplexer expands the pattern generator bit rate of the J-BERT N4903B high-performance bit error ratio tester.
Satellite System Simulator Runs On Vector Signal Generator
Rohde & Schwarz has developed a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) simulator, which runs on its SMBV100A vector signal generator. The SMBV-K101 option allows developers in the automotive and wireless communications industries to test GNSS receivers for specific effects such as obscuration and multipath propagation.
Agilent DMM Bolsters Premier Farnell Global Instrument Offering
Premier Farnell has added to its Agilent range of digital multimeters (DMM) with the next generation 6½ digit Truevolt. The DMM allows engineers to see their measurement data in new ways, get actionable information faster, and document their results more easily. The Truevolt technology reduces extraneous factors such as noise, injected current and input bias current for increased measurement confidence.
