A software package that supports the Raspberry Pi single-board computer has been released by Pico Technology. Optimised and tested on the newly-released Raspberry Pi 4, and the current 3B and 3B+ on Raspbian Stretch, the PicoLog 6 data logging software package provides a visual, easy-to-use interface allowing users to quickly set up simple or complex acquisitions and record, view and analyse data.

13GHz and 16GHz models extend oscilloscope family
Two oscilloscopes offering 13GHz and 16GHz frequency have been added to Tektronix’s scalable DPO70000SX Series Performance Oscilloscope series. The new offerings allow engineers to take advantage of the high sample rate and low noise floor of Tektronix’ highest performance family of oscilloscopes at lower bandwidth levels and more affordable price points.

Signal generator frequency range extended to 67GHz
The analogue microwave signal generator R&S SMA100B from Rohde & Schwarz now provides microwave signals up to 67GHz. In overrange operation, it can provide signals up to 72GHz. The instrument generates signals with lowest single sideband phase noise and highest output power with extremely low harmonics at the same time.
