One of the industry’s smallest 50 W DC-DC converters

CUI introduce the new PQA50-D, one of the smallest 50 W DC-DC converters in the industry. Ideally suited for IT equipment, telecom and industrial systems, the PQA50-D DC-DC converter series is a low cost, high performance family with a 50.8 mm x 25.4 mm (2 x 1 inch) footprint – an industry standard size for less powerful devices.

Incorporating six sided metal shielding for improved EMC performance, the new PQA50-D series offers efficiency up to 93%. Targeted at designs where minimizing power consumption at various operating conditions is a priority, the PQA50-D series single output isolated dc-dc converters maintain high efficiency figures across the entire input voltage range – including under light loads.

Available with an 18~36 Vdc or 36~75 Vdc input voltage range and 3.3, 5, 12, 15 or 24 Vdc output voltages, the PQA50-D series converters feature a 2:1 input range and 1500 Vdc input-to-output isolation. The series also features protections for output over voltage, short circuit, over load, and input under voltage.

Operating over a temperature range of -40 to +85 °C, the new PQA50-D series offers precise voltage regulation, featuring load regulation of +/- 1% max. from 10% to 100% load and line regulation of +/- 0.5% max. Additionaly the new PQA50-D series include remote on/off control, and voltage adjustability of +/- 10%.

With prices starting at $85.12 each for 100 pieces, the PQA50-D series is now available through distribution. OEM pricing is available upon request.
