Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today introduced the new PLT series of precision low-TCR thin film resistors. The devices feature a low standard TCR of ± 5 ppm/°C and tolerances down to ± 0.02 % over a wide temperature range of - 55 °C to + 125 °C.
With stable film and performance characteristics of 500 ppm at + 70 °C for 10,000 hours, the devices released today are optimized for high-precision applications in industrial, telecommunications, medical imaging, test and measurement, and military and aerospace equipment and instrumentation.

Offered in 0603, 0805, and 1206 case sizes, the PLT series offers a resistance range from 250 Ω to 100 kΩ, with non-standard values available. The resistors features very low noise of < - 30 dB, low voltage coefficients of 0.1 ppm/V, and power ratings from 150 mW to 400 mW at + 70 °C.

The PLT devices feature an anti-corrosion resistant film with special passivation method (SPM) enhancement. Available with lead (Pb)-free or lead terminations, the resistors are compliant with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and flame-resistant in accordance to UL 94 V-0.
